SALT LAKE CITY – The Runnin’ Utes strengthened their roster Wednesday afternoon with the commitment of ECU transfer forward Ezra Ausar. Ausar, a highly coveted four-star transfer, was pursued by programs like NC State and Seton Hall. He is the fifth transfer to join the Utes for the 2024-25 college basketball season, leaving the team with four more roster spots to fill. athleticism to the team. In his freshman year (2022-23), he played 32 games, averaging about 20 minutes, 10 points, and 5.3 rebounds per game. He improved those stats in his sophomore season, averaging 25 minutes, 11.4 points, and 4.7 rebounds per game, while also increasing his field goal percentage from 51 percent to 56 percent. Ausar has two years of eligibility remaining, along with a redshirt year. He will join fellow transfers Keanu Dawes, Mason Madsen, Zach Keller, and Miro Little as the Runnin’ Utes prepare for a challenging Big 12 basketball schedule.
