The Houston Texans are anticipated to pick up two former FSU football standouts in the 2024 mock draft. With less than ten days until the NFL Draft commences, there’s a growing sense of anticipation in Tallahassee for former Florida State players.

The Seminoles had a strong showing at the NFL Combine, with 12 prospects participating, potentially leading to over 10 players being drafted for the first time since 2015. Reflecting on the past, nine years ago, three Seminoles, Ronald Darby, Karlos Williams, and Nick O’Leary, were all drafted by the Buffalo Bills, raising the question of whether history could repeat itself this month.

In a recent mock draft by CBS Sports’ Chris Trapasso, the Houston Texans were predicted to acquire Renardo Green in the third round (No. 86) and Jarrian Jones in the fourth round (No. 127). Green, a standout cornerback, had an impressive season with Second-Team All-ACC honors, showcasing his skills with notable stats and impressive combine performances. Jones, on the other hand, had a stellar final season at FSU, earning accolades and demonstrating his athleticism at the combine.

Apart from Green and Jones, several other FSU players were mentioned in the mock draft, showcasing the depth of talent from the university. The 2024 NFL Draft kicks off on April 25th, live from Detroit.
