In a recent interview on The Pat McAfee Show, Schultz highlighted the stark differences between the two organizations. He noted how the Cowboys’ atmosphere often involved distractions, such as people taking tours through the facility while players were working out, likening it to a zoo. Schultz, now signed to a three-year contract extension with the Texans, expressed a preference for the more focused environment in Houston.
While acknowledging that the Cowboys’ high profile is partly due to their past success, Schultz emphasized the potential distractions inherent in such a large and visible organization. He suggested that adapting to or mitigating these distractions may be necessary for the Cowboys to succeed, or they may need to find personnel who can thrive in that environment.
