Miami Gardens, Florida — According to a source familiar with the decision, the Dolphins are set to bring aboard Ryan Crow, former outside linebackers coach for the Tennessee Titans, to fill the same role in Miami. The individual, speaking on condition of anonymity due to the lack of an official team announcement, disclosed this information to The Associated Press on Wednesday.

Crow has dedicated his entire coaching career of six years to the Titans, initially serving as a defensive assistant in 2018 before progressing to coaching outside linebackers, a position he maintained for the past three seasons. Following the departure of head coach Mike Vrabel, Crow parted ways with the Titans.

This move comes as the Dolphins recently appointed Anthony Weaver, former assistant head coach and defensive line coach for the Baltimore Ravens, as their defensive coordinator, signaling the commencement of staff building efforts.

In his new role, Crow will contribute to guiding a defense that ranked as the league’s 10th-best overall unit in 2023, despite grappling with numerous injuries to key players.

However, two of Miami’s prominent linebackers face significant recovery journeys from their respective injuries. Jaelan Phillips suffered a torn Achilles tendon last November, while Bradley Chubb endured a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee.
