The Buffalo Bills’ general manager, Brandon Beane, has stated that while they don’t intend to make any major trades in free agency, they are considering adding a veteran player at a discounted rate. Despite recently signing Chase Claypool, there are still concerns about the depth of their wide receivers after the NFL draft.

Bleacher Report’s Kristopher Knox has advocated for the Bills to sign Marquez Valdes-Scantling, formerly of the Kansas City Chiefs, to bolster their receiving corps. Knox highlights Valdes-Scantling’s ability to stretch the field, citing his contributions during the 2023 postseason, including a notable performance against the Bills.

Valdes-Scantling was released by the Chiefs in February, entering the final year of his $30 million contract, resulting in significant savings for Kansas City. Knox believes his experience, particularly in winning championships with the Chiefs, could offer valuable insights to the Bills and potentially aid in overcoming postseason challenges, including facing Kansas City.
