Huskies Secure Initial Offensive Lineman Transfer from Portal

The University of Washington has secured its first commitment from the transfer portal for the offensive line, with D’Angalo Titialii from Portland State opting to join the Huskies. Titialii, a local talent who previously faced the Huskies two years ago, made his decision shortly after visiting a practice session with Jedd Fisch’s coaching staff on Thursday.

Standing at 6 feet 2 inches and weighing 320 pounds, Titialli has been a prominent figure for Portland State over the past three seasons, starting in 28 out of 32 games he participated in, including a matchup against the UW in 2022. Prior to his collegiate career, he attended Eastside Catholic in the suburbs of Seattle.

After entering the transfer portal on Wednesday, Titialii received an offer from North Carolina State, but he ultimately chose to return home and commit to the UW.

Expressing his excitement on social media, Titialii stated, “Back home! I’m 1000000 percent committed!”

During his time at Portland State, Titialii served as the starting center for the team’s 5-6 season and previously played as the starting left guard. Given the Huskies’ current roster needs, Titialii’s versatility may be valuable, especially with the potential absence of projected starting center Landen Hatchett due to a knee injury.

While at Eastside Catholic, Titialii shared the field with UW running back Sam Adams II and Ohio State edge rusher JT Tuimoloau, contributing to the team’s successful 12-1 season and 3A state championship in 2019.

Despite being lightly recruited out of high school, Titialii chose Portland State over other offers from Air Force, Idaho, Georgetown, and Southern Oregon.
