Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills seems to have expressed discontent with the team’s management following the trade of star wide receiver Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans. Allen notably liked a post on his X account that criticized the Jacksonville Jaguars’ front office for not making aggressive moves like the Texans did in acquiring Diggs.

While both the Jaguars and Texans appear poised to challenge for the AFC South title in the coming years, the Texans have made significant improvements during the offseason with acquisitions such as Danielle Hunter, Joe Mixon, and Diggs. On the other hand, the Jaguars’ offseason has been relatively modest, with their biggest signing being Arik Armstead, who will bolster the defense alongside Allen.

Allen’s dissatisfaction with the Jaguars goes beyond the Diggs trade. Despite his exceptional performance in the 2023 season, which included 17.5 sacks, the team opted to place the franchise tag on him rather than offering him a lucrative long-term contract. Additionally, the Jaguars allowed another standout player, Calvin Ridley, to depart to the Tennessee Titans in free agency.

The Jaguars did sign former Bills wide receiver Gabe Davis in free agency, but this move may not have excited Allen, as Davis was not a prominent figure in the Bills’ offense. Given these circumstances, there are doubts about whether the Jaguars can do enough to convince Allen to stay beyond the 2024 season.
