Liverpool and Newcastle United are both interested in acquiring the services of highly-rated Juventus defender, Dean Huijsen, for a reported sum of €30 million. Huijsen, who is currently on loan at Roma, is set to return to his parent club in the summer, sparking a scramble among top clubs for his signature.

Dean Huijsen expected to return to Juventus

Reports suggest that Liverpool and Newcastle will face stiff competition from European outfits RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund in their pursuit of the 18-year-old talent. However, Roma is also keen on retaining Huijsen for another loan spell next season, although it remains to be seen if Juventus will entertain this proposal.

With limited first-team opportunities expected for Huijsen at Juventus next season, the Italian club could be tempted to offload him if a substantial offer is made. The prospect of regular playing time in the Premier League could appeal to the young defender, making a move to Liverpool or Newcastle an enticing proposition.

Liverpool, in particular, are in need of defensive reinforcements, with the potential departure of Joel Matip in the summer. Similarly, Newcastle are searching for a long-term defensive partner for Sven Botman.

A move to either Liverpool or Newcastle would provide Huijsen with the opportunity to develop alongside high-quality players in the Premier League, accelerating his growth and maximizing his potential. Given his lack of regular starts at Roma this season, remaining at the Italian club for another loan stint may not be the most preferable option for Huijsen as he looks to establish himself as a key figure at his next destination.
