Ronald Acuña Jr. showed signs of progress on Thursday as he participated in batting practice and field workouts alongside his teammates. Acuña had been sidelined due to discomfort in the meniscus of his right knee but has been steadily improving since receiving a positive assessment from Dr. Neal ElAttrache, who performed his ACL surgery in 2021.

With three weeks remaining until opening day, Acuña’s return to on-field activities is a positive development for the Braves. Despite being cautious with their star player during the early stages of spring training, the team remains optimistic about his availability for the season opener in Philadelphia on March 28.

Pending a successful return to action, Acuña could potentially rejoin the lineup in the coming days. The Braves continue their exhibition schedule against the Boston Red Sox on Thursday, with Bryce Elder slated to take the mound.
