According to a report by Thomas Gounley of Business Den, Russell Wilson is apparently looking to sell his Cherry Hills home in Denver, potentially indicating his impending departure from the Mile High City.

New Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson scores record purchase of $25 million mansion in Cherry Hills Village – The Denver Post

The luxurious property, purchased by Wilson and his wife Ciara in April 2022, holds the distinction of being the most expensive residential sale in the Denver area to date. Situated at 10 Cherry Hills Park Drive, the four-bedroom, 12-bathroom residence spans a vast 20,000 square feet across five acres of land. Notable features include a sizable indoor swimming pool measuring 2,590 square feet, a basketball court, and a guest apartment complete with its own kitchen facilities.

Wilson’s home became a point of jest during his first season in Denver, with jokes circulating that it took him until Week 15 to throw more touchdowns than there were bathrooms in his house. This quip was part of a larger narrative where Wilson failed to meet the expectations set by his high-profile trade to the Broncos and subsequent contract extension. Despite the significant investment made in Wilson, his performance fell short, leading to disappointment among fans and the team alike.

The Broncos endured a tumultuous season during Wilson’s tenure, with a disappointing 5-12 record in his first year prompting the dismissal of head coach Nathaniel Hackett. Although Sean Payton’s arrival brought some improvement, culminating in an 8-9 record, Wilson found himself benched for underperformance, further signaling his uncertain future with the team.

With the upcoming NFL Draft presenting an opportunity for the Broncos to secure a future quarterback with the 12th pick, speculation abounds regarding their next steps. While some advocate for pursuing a veteran quarterback in free agency, financial constraints may limit their options. Regardless, the road to redemption for the Broncos appears fraught with challenges, with Wilson’s tenure in Denver marked by unmet expectations and a lack of success on the field.
