The Green Bay Packers encountered significant challenges in their defensive secondary ahead of Week 17, as they placed a starting cornerback on injured reserve following Jaire Alexander’s suspension for the upcoming game against the Minnesota Vikings.

This move came after Alexander’s return to action against the Carolina Panthers, his first game since November 5 due to a lingering back injury. Eric Stokes, another cornerback who has faced prolonged absence due to injury this season, sustained a hamstring injury during the Panthers game and has been consequently placed on injured reserve, concluding his season, as confirmed by the Packers.

Adding to the defensive concerns, safety Darnell Savage’s status remains uncertain for the Vikings clash due to a shoulder injury. However, the Packers might find some relief in facing a Minnesota Vikings team grappling with quarterback issues after the season-ending loss of Kirk Cousins. The Vikings are planning to start Jaren Hall against the Packers.
