As Wolves prepare for their upcoming Premier League clash with Newcastle United, manager Vitor Pereira may have been handed a slight boost. New signing Ladislav Krejci was not included in his national team’s lineup tonight, potentially allowing him to rest and fully focus on club duties.

Wolves are still searching for their first points of the 2025/26 season after three straight losses to Manchester City, Bournemouth, and Everton. With pressure mounting and frustration growing among fans over the club’s risky transfer strategy especially the lack of a new midfielder Krejci could prove to be a key figure moving forward.

His absence from international action might increase his chances of being fresh and available for the crucial fixture against Newcastle.

Wolves Newcomer Ladislav Krejci Sits Out Czech Republic Friendly Against Saudi Arabia

While his omission from the friendly could be seen as positive news for Wolves possibly allowing him to return to training at Compton fresh ahead of the Newcastle clash there’s also a slight concern he may have picked up a minor injury.

Given that the match was only a friendly, Wolves boss Vitor Pereira may have hoped Krejci would be rested regardless.

Krejci Deserves Starting Spot vs Newcastle If Match Fit

Despite being new to the club, Ladislav Krejci is already being tipped for a starting role in Wolves’ upcoming clash with Newcastle provided he’s fit.

Wolves made a significant investment in the Czech defender, showing their belief in his potential impact. With the team’s defence struggling conceding 10 goals in just four matches bringing Krejci into the starting XI seems like a logical move.

Manager Vitor Pereira has already praised Krejci’s qualities, and former Wolves midfielder Dave Edwards believes his calmness on the ball could bring stability to a shaky backline.

If he’s ready, Krejci is expected to be given the chance to prove himself in what promises to be a challenging fixture this Saturday.
