LASK Linz sporting director Dino Buric has praised Wolves striker Sasha Kalajdzic as an “absolute exceptional player,” expressing confidence that the on-loan forward will make an immediate impact in Austria.

Kalajdzic, signed by Wolves from Stuttgart in 2023, has struggled to make his mark in England due to persistent injury setbacks. With the arrivals of Tolu Arokodare and Jorgen Strand Larsen pushing him down the pecking order at Molineux, a loan move was seen as the best option for the Austrian international to regain form and confidence.

Now back in familiar territory with LASK Linz, Buric who previously worked with Kalajdzic at Admira Wacker revealed he’s been closely tracking the striker’s progress over the years. He highlighted Kalajdzic’s goalscoring instincts, physicality, aerial ability, and strong technical skills, calling him a valuable addition to the Austrian Bundesliga and a player with excellent character and team spirit.

Having completed pre-season training with Wolves, Kalajdzic is expected to be match-ready for LASK. The 28-year-old brings proven experience from the Austrian top flight, where he previously notched 11 goals and 12 assists in 35 games for Admira.

Wolves are hopeful that a successful and injury-free loan spell will allow Kalajdzic to return to Molineux next summer ready to contribute.
