
The Buffalo Bills strengthened their defense Tuesday morning by signing veteran linebacker Shaq Thompson to a one-year contract.
Thompson, who spent the last decade with the Carolina Panthers, brings extensive experience to Buffalo. Over his 10-year NFL career, he appeared in 123 games with 112 starts, recording 752 tackles, 54 tackles for loss, 32 quarterback hits, 12 sacks, and three interceptions.
A first-round pick (25th overall) by the Panthers in the 2015 NFL Draft, Thompson played his college football at the University of Washington and hails from Sacramento, California.
He will wear jersey No. 45 for the Bills.
