Though the Baltimore Ravens and Buffalo Bills won’t clash until their Week 1 Sunday Night Football matchup on September 7, the tension is already building and Ravens linebacker Roquan Smith is leading the charge.

Reflecting on last season’s bitter playoff loss to the Bills, who narrowly defeated Baltimore 27-25 in the divisional round after the Ravens crushed them 35-10 during the regular season, Smith made it clear he’s hungry for revenge.

During an appearance on NFL Network’s Schedule Release ’25, Smith didn’t mince words: “Revenge is best served cold. So it’ll be nice to head up to Buffalo and get a little payback on those guys.”

Smith also acknowledged that the playoff loss has fueled the team’s motivation throughout the offseason. “You carry that misery through the offseason and use it to drive you,” he said. “We know we’ve got what it takes to be the best team in the league. It all starts with that game in Buffalo.”

The Week 1 primetime showdown promises to be a fierce start to the season, as both teams are seen as top Super Bowl contenders behind their elite quarterbacks and stacked rosters. While the winner will gain early bragging rights, it may just be a preview of another high-stakes rematch come playoff time.
