Dallas Cowboys to Face Chiefs in 2025 Thanksgiving Day Showdown
With the NFL’s 2025 schedule release underway, the Dallas Cowboys have learned who they’ll face in one of the most anticipated games of the year — their annual Thanksgiving Day matchup.
As always, the Cowboys will take the field on the holiday, and this year’s opponent is none other than the reigning powerhouse: Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. The game will be broadcast on CBS and Paramount Plus from AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
This primetime matchup is a major test for Dallas, as the Chiefs have reached the Super Bowl three straight years, winning two of them. It’s a marquee game that will give the Cowboys a chance to measure themselves against the league’s elite.
Dallas has hosted Thanksgiving games since 1966, following a push from then-GM Tex Schramm, who believed a home game on a short week would give the Cowboys a competitive edge. The only exceptions were in 1975 and 1977. Since then, it’s become a franchise tradition.
The Cowboys currently hold a 34-22-1 all-time record on Thanksgiving. Last year, they celebrated the holiday with a 27-20 win over the New York Giants.
Now, in 2025, fans will be treated to a blockbuster matchup between two of the NFL’s biggest brands — a Thanksgiving clash that promises fireworks.
