With Jayson Tatum likely sidelined for the entire upcoming season, the Boston Celtics find themselves in a challenging position, relying heavily on Jaylen Brown to carry the team. However, according to ClutchPoints writer Rohan Brahmbhatt, the Celtics could make a major move by pursuing All-Star forward Pascal Siakam.

“What the Celtics need is a proven, versatile big man who can handle interior responsibilities and contribute offensively when Brown and Simons are off the court. Siakam fits that mold perfectly,” Brahmbhatt explained.

Siakam brings championship experience, having played a key role in both the Toronto Raptors’ 2019 title run and the Indiana Pacers’ 2024-25 championship season. Known for his ability to score in various ways and defend multiple positions, his skill set would align well with Boston’s switch-heavy defensive system.

In Brahmbhatt’s view, Siakam would not only keep the Celtics competitive in the short term, but also deepen their rotation with another playoff-tested forward. With Tyrese Haliburton now sidelined in Indiana, Siakam could become the centerpiece of a new-look Celtics roster a balanced duo alongside Brown rather than a one-man show.

While acquiring the $188 million star won’t be easy, the potential payoff could be another championship in Boston.
