Newcastle are seriously considering signing Paris Saint-Germain forward Randal Kolo Muani on deadline day, according to Sky Switzerland journalist Sacha Tavolieri.

The Magpies appear to be losing patience with Brentford in their pursuit of Yoane Wissa and have started looking at other options with only hours left in the summer transfer window.

Eddie Howe’s team is said to have renewed their interest in Muani recently, with Tavolieri describing the £210,000-a-week French striker as “one to watch” ahead of the 7pm Monday deadline.

Kolo Muani is out of favor at PSG under manager Luis Enrique and is expected to leave before the transfer window closes, with Serie A club Juventus reportedly his preferred choice.

According to Tavolieri, Newcastle are seeking alternatives to Wissa on deadline day, with Kolo Muani now identified as a potential signing. Muani spent the latter half of last season on loan at Juventus, where he scored 10 goals and provided three assists in 22 matches.

Newcastle are expected to sign another forward after completing a club-record deal for Nick Woltemade, while Alexander Isak is set to join Liverpool, marking the latest development in his transfer saga.

The two Premier League clubs have reportedly agreed on a £130 million deal for Isak’s move, with medical examinations expected to take place soon.
