Rangers-Arsenal-Karl-Hein

Arsenal are prepared to sell goalkeeper Karl Hein, with Rangers among the clubs interested in signing the Estonia international.

Despite already having Jack Butland and Liam Kelly as options, Rangers boss Russell Martin is reportedly seeking further reinforcement between the posts. Hein, 23, has spent over seven years at Arsenal and is coming off a successful loan spell at Real Valladolid in La Liga, where he kept five clean sheets in 31 appearances despite the team finishing bottom of the table.

According to The Mirror (8 August), Spanish side Levante are also keen on Hein but prefer a loan deal. Arsenal, however, are pushing for a permanent transfer and are “actively encouraging bids” for their No. 31.

Rangers’ previous interest could now put them in a strong position to strike a deal, particularly with Arsenal’s willingness to part ways. Joining the Gers would allow Hein to develop alongside Butland and Kelly, potentially boosting his career prospects.

The final decision may come down to Arsenal’s asking price and whether Hein is open to a move to Ibrox before the transfer window closes.
