Double Deal? Rangers Close In on £10M Winger After Bournemouth Star Says Yes

Double Deal? Rangers Step Up Chase for £10M Winger After Bournemouth Star Gives the Green Light

Rangers’ pursuit of David Brooks is gaining momentum as the club maintains an assertive approach in this summer’s transfer market. The Ibrox side are reportedly monitoring the winger’s situation closely and could make a formal move for the £10 million-rated Wales international in the near future. With close to 90 Premier League appearances and a strong international pedigree, Brooks would be among the most high-profile additions to the squad this window.

Unlike previous speculative links, Rangers’ interest in Brooks appears genuine, with a loan deal currently seen as the most viable route. The 26-year-old has one year remaining on his Bournemouth contract, and although no renewal has been agreed, the Cherries are not actively looking to sell him outright  paving the way for a temporary move.

Brooks is a natural right-sided winger  a position Russell Martin is eager to reinforce following the exit and loan of several wide players. While injuries and illness have affected his consistency in recent seasons, there’s little doubt about his talent when fully fit.

The player himself has also hinted at his openness to a move, stating:

“His style of play and the way he is as a guy, I think he’s an extremely good manager and he’s going to do great things. If he wants to take me wherever he ends up, then he can do.”

A loan move would suit all involved. Rangers would secure a top-tier attacking option without a significant financial commitment, Bournemouth would retain a valuable asset, and Brooks would gain consistent minutes in a competitive league. While there is some risk due to his injury history, his quality and attacking flair particularly his ability to cut inside or deliver dangerous crosses  are attributes that Rangers have lacked in recent campaigns.

Rangers Turn Sights To £10M Winger As Bournemouth Star Says Yes

Whether or not the deal materialises will hinge on several factors, including Bournemouth’s stance and the player’s final decision. But what’s clear is that Rangers’ interest is serious, and with the transfer market moving rapidly, this deal could progress quickly.

As the club continues to make bold moves, this potential signing represents yet another sign of ambition from a side determined to re-establish domestic supremacy and make an impact in Europe.
