Cowboys Star Daron Bland Could Become a Trade Target for Four Teams

In a surprising development, Dallas Cowboys standout cornerback Daron Bland could be on the trade block this upcoming season. Reports suggest the team may consider moving on from the former interceptions leader if the 2025 campaign takes a downward turn. While releasing Bland seems unlikely, a trade appears to be a real possibility.

Drafted in the fifth round in 2022 out of Fresno State, Bland delivered a breakout second season, tallying 53 solo tackles, 15 pass breakups, nine interceptions, and five touchdowns across 15 starts and 17 games. His impressive performance cemented his status as a key piece of the defense, particularly when paired with Trevon Diggs, although injuries limited their time together.

Bland thrived when veteran corner Stephon Gilmore was part of the secondary, but the team let Gilmore walk in the previous offseason due to cap constraints. Since then, both Bland and Diggs have struggled to replicate their peak form, with Diggs also working back from injury.

With Bland entering the final year of his rookie contract, questions remain about his future with the team. If he doesn’t meet expectations this season, Dallas may look to trade him—potentially to one of four interested teams.
