Jackson played for Oregon last season after transferring from Alabama. During his time in Eugene, he excelled on the field, earning spots on both the coaches’ and the Associated Press All-Pac-12 first teams. He started all 12 games, leading the Ducks in interceptions and passes defended. Jackson’s future in the NFL looked promising, but his life was cut short tragically.

Dan Lanning took to social media to express his grief and pay tribute to Jackson, highlighting his character and impact. Lanning posted:

“RIP Khyree… Love you @Real_Khyree at a loss for words. I will miss your smile. Great player, better person.”

Jackson left a lasting impression on many, and Lanning’s heartfelt reaction reflects the profound impact Jackson had in just one year.
